What is the difference between a supplier plant and a sub supplier?
In WisE, both supplier plants and sub suppliers can be registered for a supplier, and then linked to parts in the supplier contract to help suppliers organize the plant/ sub supplier that manufactures the part.
The difference is that supplier plants are considered as the same company as the main supplier. There are no separate login IDs for supplier plants. Instead, they login with the main supplier's login IDs to do operations and have access to all data of the main supplier.
On the other hand, sub suppliers are considered a different company from the main supplier and have their own sub supplier login IDs. They can only access data from the main supplier for parts assigned to them. They also have no access to price data.
